Woke Up in Seattle

Hey there, amazing souls! Happy First Monday of 2024! Wishing you all a fab year ahead, filled with magic and joy. Seriously, how awesome is it that the new year kicks off on a Monday? Talk about a cosmic sign, right? 😄

The ultimate day that sets the tone for everything! I'm hyped for my Green Era project; just wrapped up the first painting of it. Also, I'm rooting for your best life ever—overflowing with joy and peace!

I really wish all the people can live in contentment. I mean, imagine a world where everyone's chill and content! No hate, no judging, no drama—just pure zen vibes. Total freedom, like Janis Joplin's Mr. Mcgee.

Do you have any special New Year's traditions? Back in Mexico, it's all about gobbling down 12 grapes at midnight, each grape for a wish. Believe me, scarfing down grapes and crafting wishes ain't as easy as it sounds!

This New Year, we switched things up a bit. Hubby's a die-hard Steelers fan (yup, NFL in the house). So, off we went to Seattle with Ophelia to catch their game. Historic win after nearly four decades! I might cheer for the Cowboys, but let's keep that between us. 🏈

Our celebration started with a bang at Lumen Field in Seattle.

Not Sleepless in Seattle

As we woke up super early and I drove all the way to Seattle, by 8pm I was out. Not at all Sleepless in Seattle, but totally the opposite. I struggled to stay awake and hug each other and tell us wonderful romantic things.
We did have a delicious dinner, fireworks and the most important thing, tons of love and gratitude.

This will be a short blog entry.
And instead of the weekly discoveries and treasures I would like to share with you what I’ve learned this year:

  1. We know nothing. We all are dealing with stuff, health, family matters, mental health, jobs, relationships with people, with ourselves, and we cannot judge people because we act like act, based in what we are dealing with. Is usually nothing personal to others, we are just dealing with ourselves. So we cannot judge.

  2. It’s ok to take a time off. Of whatever, jobs, house stuff, relationships, activities. Nothing lasts forever, so it’s ok if we take a break.

  3. Contentment is key. If you manage to be content with who you are, with what you have, with the life you have, you won’t compare yourself, you won’t compete, you will just mind your own business of being happy and share that happiness to others

It might not be a long list and I’m sure I might be forgetting more stuff.

But is the list I remember now and what feels important to me right now. So hopefully it might add to someone else’s life.

That would be it for today.
I just wanted to wish you a Wonderful Monday. May you make every moment count.
I wish you have a blast of a year, I wish you start to love Mondays and most important, I wish you love yourself as you are, people as they are, life as it is.

Love & Sparkles,
