Starting a Challenging Sketchbook

I thought I didn’t have a sketchbook, so I ran to the store and bought one, just right before going into a Getaway trip in a tiny cabin in the woods.

And I started it while being there.

I committed to the following:

  • Make it weightless. Meaning it won’t hold the heavy weight of being either perfect, instagrammeable or a masterpiece for the posterity.

  • Minimal. In the sense that I would you whatever I have on hand. I won’t prepare a huge palette, an intense purpose on the mediums, or picking my preferred materials, just what i have on hand.

  • Fun. Not a sketch for an exhibition, commission or planned artwork. IF it results on that later on, it’s ok, but it is no its purpose.

So these are my sketches so far.
They all are from the Getaway in the woods.
Minimal supplies I packed for the trip and it was just for the love of contemplation, I paint what I was living in the moment.

I hope you like it and overall you get inspired to do something just for fun.

Love & Sparkles!

P.S By the way, I did have a previous sketchbook. And for the record, I have the worst memory.
