“Home is where the heart is.”

I remember watching that movie when I was younger. Since then, I tried to truly find where my heart was. I placed it in people, in places, in things… and now, at 41, I’ve discovered a new meaning to that phrase.

Hola Amigos del Internet! 👋

How’s everybody doing?

I know I haven’t written in a little while. I hope these past few weeks have been full of light and beauty for you—because they have been for me. Let me tell you a bit about what’s been happening.

Traveling with Heart ✈️

I honestly can’t remember the last Monday I blogged—not because it’s been that long, but because (if you know me), memory isn’t exactly my superpower 😅. Since then, I’ve been on a journey—literally and soulfully—discovering new layers of magic.

First stop: a retreat in Chicago.

It was beautiful. The people were so loving and present, reconnecting to that inner joy that comes from living fully awake and deeply grateful. The kitchen was run by Mexican cooks, so you know the food was incredible—fresh veggies, a rainbow of colors, flavors, and more love than you can measure.

Then, I came home for just a day…

…and left again for my favorite retreat in the UK.

Taught by my spiritual Teacher and filled with dear friends from all over the world, it’s always a heart-expanding experience. I can’t say much about breakfast (I’m never up and ready by 8 a.m.), but lunch and dinner? Next level. So nourishing.

I went to this same retreat last year, but I was in a very different place back then. It’s such a gift to witness how much can change in just one year—and how magic consistently shows up if we’re willing to see it.

Finding the Magic in the Moment 🌟

Of course, we all lose sight from time to time. But we can always return to that peaceful, quiet place within us—and begin again.

We can learn to see the good even in the most unimaginable places.

And we can choose to be around magical people:

✨ Magical people don’t gossip

✨ They don’t judge or criticize

✨ They live in praise, gratitude, and love

✨ Magical people are kind—to everyone

Contentment Is Home

So much happened during those twenty-something days away from my house and studio. Life unfolded in its mysterious way—some things I hoped for, some unexpected surprises, and even a few bumps in the road.

And through it all, I realized:

my heart was content.

Not because everything was perfect—but because I allowed life to be what it is. Beyond preferences and expectations, there was peace. Not in some distant future, but in the aliveness of the moment.

Did I miss Ophelia, my studio, my tiny town?
Of course.
But I didn’t suffer about it. I wasn’t clinging to another moment.

Peace was here. Now.

That, my dear readers, is called:

con·tent·ment /kənˈtentmənt/:

a state of being satisfied with one’s life, possessions, or circumstances.

What I’ve Learned 💫

A freer way to live—at least for me—is to embrace what life offers with open arms and open eyes. To act from what the present moment asks, not from past stories or beliefs.

And so, I realized:

“Home is where contentment is.”

With all my love & sparkles,
Ishani
