Creativity isn’t just for artists.
We all create—every single day.
We create our way of living, for starters!
And nowadays, we—as a culture—have created a very busy life. A life of always doing something: working, remodeling, grocery shopping, learning something new, journaling, exercising, thrifting, drinking tea… and of course, posting it all.
I’m not saying that’s wrong—I love being busy, too. What I want to say is that when we’re suddenly forced to pause, even for a short while, many of us don’t know what to do with stillness. Some of us feel guilty. Some feel anxious. And we often try to fill that empty space with something—anything.
Yesterday, I was lying in bed, simply staring at the flowers outside my window.
I couldn’t stop looking at them. And here’s why—let me show you:
Suddenly, my husband said, “It would be so awesome if these trees stayed in bloom all year long!”
And of course, it would be! They’re gorgeous—I would love to see them every day.
But then I thought: they take a break.
They don’t bloom all year long.
They take pauses. They take turns.
There’s no rush in nature to bloom, to change, to improve.
The flowers come after their rest.
The leaves return after their stillness.
Like music, where the silence between notes gives them meaning.
Like the black screen between scenes on a show.
Like the tiny moment before your next breath…
And yet, we humans often try to fill those in-between moments at any cost.
I truly love those seasons of learning and doing—I do!
But I also love those sacred pauses, where I can just breathe…
Do nothing at all.
Empty my cup.
Let go.
And allow creativity to be reborn—fresh and flowing—like a clear river.
In that stillness, something divine happens.
A moment full of nothing, yet lacking nothing.
Pure, infinite, pristine.
That space holds your name. Your true name.
Our shared essence—timeless and unseparated.
The more we pay attention to that space, the more we realize:
it’s always there.
Always available.
Under any circumstance.
And the more we fall in love with it, the more a different kind of life begins to bloom—
one that feels truly alive.
So, dear friend,
Enjoy your breaks.
Enjoy when you are blooming, and when you are not.
Enjoy the pause.
With all my love and sparkles,
Ishani
Invitations for the Week
1. Take a Pause
Sit in silence for 5–10 minutes each day. No phone, no task—just you and your breath.
2. Do Nothing, Guilt-Free
|Let yourself lie down or stare out the window. Let the stillness be enough.
3. Limit the Scroll
Take one hour off social media each day. Let your mind rest from constant input.
4.Notice the In-Betweens
Pay attention to the space between breaths, between sounds, between moments.
5. Create from Emptiness
Don’t force creativity this week. Let it come from the pause, not the push.
6. Bless Your Breaks
Whether it’s a coffee break or a walk—whisper a small thank-you to the space it gives you.
