Hola, dear amigos!
How are you all doing? Me? Well, I’m officially 41 years young as of this past Saturday! I’m still settling into the vibe of this new number, but so far, I love it. I’d even say I love it more than 40—but, hey, I’ve only spent two days in my 41st year, so let’s not rush to conclusions! Oh, and guess what? I just discovered my birthday isn’t actually in winter, as I’ve believed my whole life. Mind blown! Turns out I’m a fall baby through and through. That explains so much! I adore winter, but let’s be real—fall is my ultimate jam.
December feels like the grand finale, a wrap-up season for me. It’s a month of reflection, a warm hug reminding me that everything is okay, that all is well. I hope December brings you that same comforting energy. For me, it’s a time to honor all the things I’ve achieved this year, even if “achievement” was simply showing up for life every day. Because, honestly, that’s no small feat.
I love kicking off December with the best vibes—a sense of calm, gratitude, and readiness for what’s next. It’s my cocoon time, my sacred pause to slow down and truly nurture myself. This is when I catch up on reading and learning, tidy up my studio, and give back to the year all the beauty it brought me. It’s like a deep bow of gratitude to the past 12 months, even if I couldn’t fully see or appreciate every moment as it unfolded.
December for me is gratitude on steroids. More appreciation, more awareness, more intentionality. It’s about creating a space that feels sacred and alive, and I’m determined to live it fully.
And I hope this energy rubs off on you! In the midst of all the cooking, gathering, and celebrating, may you find time to pause, look inward, and give yourself the care and rest you deserve.
See you next Monday!
Love & Sparkles,
Ishani
To listen: Autumn Leaves. Let this piece guide you into the fall-inspired vibes you’re embracing this season, with its nostalgic and calming flow.
To eat: Okay, I haven’t made it yet, but it looks delicious, and I’m definitely going to make these this week. I mean, look at that fluffiness!
To drink: This tea is one of my favorites. You know I’m all about coziness, and this tea is full of warmth and spices. It’s my go-to when I need cuddles for my soul.
To try: I started using Notion for my art journals, goals, visions, and projects. I’ve been using it for a few days, and I’m really liking it. I enjoy organization, but I’m not the best at it. Marie Kondo was a great guide, but when it comes to my work, I’m still finding my rhythm. So, I’m enjoying this app, and so far, it’s been guiding me through my organization goals
To be grateful for: I don’t know how it is for you, but sometimes, when a task is required 365 days a year, it can get a little stuck for me. So, I’ve been playing with one-week goals. How about writing down three things you’re grateful for every day this week? Consider not only the big moments but also the small, often overlooked treasures—like a perfect cup of tea or a fleeting ray of sunlight (especially if you live in Portland, haha).
