Hola amigos del Internet!
This week, I had the chance to step into the world of Monet at an immersive exhibit, and it left me with so much more than just awe at his genius—it left me reflecting on the masterpiece of life itself.
Monet didn’t just stumble upon the serene beauty of his waterlilies. He planted it. Quite literally. He designed and nurtured his garden in Giverny with meticulous care, carefully planning every detail—the soft monochromatic colors, the interplay of reflections between the sky and landscape on the water. It wasn’t just a garden; it was his canvas, alive and breathing. Only after years of cultivating this magical space did he take up his brush to capture the essence of it on canvas.
And isn’t life a bit like that? We are both the gardeners and the artists of our own lives. We plant the seeds of our dreams, nurture them with patience, and tend to the weeds of doubt or distraction. We create spaces of calm where the reflections of our experiences—our joys and struggles—can ripple like Monet’s waterlilies.
But here’s the magic: just as Monet’s waterlilies reflected both the sky and the world beneath the surface, our lives are also about balance. The external hustle, the plans and the colors we paint for the world to see, must always reflect the stillness, the inner world of peace we cultivate. And when we tend to our inner garden with care, it shines through in our art, our work, and our relationships.
So maybe the question to ask ourselves is this:
Are we giving ourselves the time to pause, observe the reflections, and let the light dance in the stillness?
Monet didn’t rush his garden or his paintings, and we don’t need to rush our lives either. So let’s take a deep breath, slow down, and keep planting. After all, the masterpiece of our lives deserves the same care and attention as Monet’s waterlilies. 🌸
What seeds are you planting today? 😊
Love & Sparkles,
Ishani
To Walk: A simple walk outdoors can be so healing. The crisp air, the movement, and the connection to nature—it’s like pressing “refresh” on your mind and heart.
To Talk: I had the loveliest conversation with a kind stranger from Minnesota. We chatted in a tiny spiritual and art shop, and it absolutely made my day. It’s amazing how connecting with others, even briefly, can bring so much joy.
To Notice: In a critical moment at home, a little ladybug landed on my shoulder, almost as if it was delivering a message: “Everything will be okay.” I looked up the spiritual meaning of ladybugs, and it reassured me. It’s a reminder to pay attention to the small signs life sends our way—they’re always there if we open our eyes to see them.
To Rescue: This week, I rescued a plant that someone was giving away. It felt so good to care for it, to give it life and love. In nurturing these little green companions, we spread love and purpose—not just to them, but to ourselves, too.
