Hola Amigos!
This week, the universe handed me a paintbrush dipped in the unexpected. My very first solo exhibition is happening (cue joyful gasps!), and while a past version of me might have carried expectations like an overstuffed tote bag, I’ve decided to walk in empty-handed—ready to receive whatever magic and wonder unfolds. And oh, has it unfolded! Strangers turned into kindred spirits, words of appreciation wove themselves into my heart, and the energy of it all felt like a love letter from the universe.
Of course, life isn’t all gallery lights and celebratory hugs. I also spent time in waiting rooms, visiting doctors, adjusting to new medication, and practicing the sacred art of acceptance. The body, much like a canvas, changes with time—some layers need reworking, some edges need softening. And rather than resist, I’m learning to paint with whatever colors life hands me.
Speaking of colors, I started a new piece for my Green Era collection, a deep dive into nature’s quiet wisdom. This one feels different, like the forest itself whispered an idea into my hands. No rigid plans, no sketches—just me, the canvas, and a willingness to let it become whatever it needs to be.
Perhaps that’s the lesson of the week: let life surprise you. We spend so much energy trying to control every brushstroke, every outcome, when the most breathtaking moments happen when we step back and allow the masterpiece to reveal itself.
So here’s to the unknown, the magic of not knowing, and the art of trusting the process. 🎨✨
Love & Sparkles,
Ishani
To Try: I’m currently reading Atomic Habits (along with three other books—lol!), and I’m loving the author’s perspective on habit formation. He talks about habit stacking, and I’m obsessed with how practical and effective it is. For example, when I’m showering, I listen to an audiobook—since showering is already a habit, I’ve linked a new habit to it, and I always follow through. Another favorite is using my eye massager while meditating. I’ve been filling my days with this process, and it’s amazing how much more I accomplish!
To Listen: Since my hearing isn’t great, I needed a speaker in the shower, so my husband gifted me this one—and I love it! It’s waterproof, sounds perfect to me, and lets me enjoy my audiobooks effortlessly.
To Spoil Yourself: A dear friend gave me an eye massager for my birthday, thinking it might help with my migraines—and wow, it really does! Aaaaand, it’s perfect for soothing my tired eyes after long painting sessions. It’s relaxing, rejuvenating, and an absolute wonder.
