Hola amigos del Internet!
How are you on this beautiful New Monday?
Did you know Monday literally means “Moon Day”? It reflects the importance of lunar cycles in early timekeeping and religious observances. Over time, the name evolved into "Monenday" and eventually "Monday" in Modern English.
Well, there you go lol. In case you were wondering.
Today we will have a short Monday blog, because I’ll be traveling.
Hubby and I are going to Chicago. We are heading to a meditation retreat, and oh how much I want to go! So, you know it’s packing time, which I don’t really like. Do you have advice, magic spells or anything that helps to organize one’s luggage? Oh it is so hard to me! I never know what to pack.
I never know how to dress in daily life, so it' get trickier to know how to dress in a different city, different weather, unknown activities…lol. I know, first world problems. I don’t complaint though. I assume my suitcase will be happily chaotic.
Oh! Talking about complaints I found this in the internet the other day, and I thought I’ll share it with you.
Wanna play? This is a very brave challenge. So, no pressure. It requires lots of self awareness. But the reward it’s pure peace and light nectar.
So, I’ll remind you in our Instagram Monday Channel.
I’ve been playing with this for a long time. Sometimes I forget and I just start over.
I must say I’ve lost people because of this way of living, but I think that makes sense and I’m grateful for it.
So well, if you wanna play, let’s rock this challenge!!!! I’m super excited about it. And I’m grateful for those who want to make this experiment along with me. Let’s start with those 21 days!!
Starting today April 29th.
I’m super inspired too because I’m reading The Four Agreements. As I told you in last blog’s Weekly Treasures. And honestly, it’s a book I think we all should read. I find it so valuable and powerful. hubby recommended it to me a billion years ago, I read it many years later and now that I’m reading it again it feels more clear and more powerful.
And big shoutout to my amazing husband, he’s the best team to play with this.
There’s no drama with him, no gossip, pure and raw love. I’m beyond grateful for him and Ophelia, my tiny little family, full of magic and wonder, acceptance and unconditional pure love.
Be sure to tell your loved ones how grateful you are for them. Let’s not take things or amazing people for granted.
I hope you guys have a blast of a week!!
You got this!
Love & Sparkles,
Ishani
To try: Attend a local art class or workshop to learn a new skill or technique from a talented instructor. Whether it's painting, pottery, or photography, embrace the opportunity to expand your creative horizons. If you happen to live in the Portland Are, come to my Watercolor Class where we are making a card. We have 2 spots left! It’s an easy way to learn how to paint with watercolors and at the same time you get a beautiful gift created by yourself for someone you love.
To read: I just bought this beautiful book, just because of its beauty and because I’ve beed feeding the nerd in me with scientific facts and books. I think it was all inspired by the Mastery book we talked about a few posts ago. This book speaks about the ancient world to the introduction of quantum theory. It shows how science has become accessible to the public. I haven’t read it yet, but I’m sure I will love it.
To eat: Ok, so I’m a very intense fan of broccoli. And I made a soup of it. In the base recipe I just throw broccoli and onion, boil it, season it and put it in the Vitamix. Love it. You can add whatever you have, potatoes, carrots, more greens. My point is that a soup with whatever vegetables you have is a) a hug for the heart b) a cuddle to your stomach and c) a great fix of vitamins for your body.
To watch: So I found this Interior Design Channel and I love it, I love the designer he looks humble, professional and I honestly love his taste. I think he has a vintage store and well, if you need to know I’m a vintage stuff lover, I don’t own a lot of vintage things because certain husband is not a fan, but we have managed to meet each other half way on this design stuff. Almost 16 years married tricks lol.
