Clock Time, Creativity, and Creamsicles

Hola, amigos! Greetings from this cozy little corner of the internet. 🌟

How’s everyone doing today? I hope this Monday finds you feeling refreshed. Personally, I’m so grateful for the start of a new week. There’s something magical about Mondays—a fresh wave of creative energy that feels like wiping the slate clean. Maybe it’s just my mind playing tricks, but I like to think Mondays have a special reset button built in.

That said, the truth is, we don’t have to wait for Mondays—or any specific day—to start over. The other day, I was rereading Eckhart Tolle, and he brought up this fascinating idea about clock time vs. psychological time:

Clock time: Time used in practical life
Psychological time: A continuous obsession with the past and future

Mind-blowing, right? My Teacher has shared this wisdom for years, but it hits differently when you actually experience it. Most of the stress lives in psychological time. For example, I get so nervous about meeting people, even close friends. My mind spins, and I freeze up. But the moment I’m actually with them, something shifts. I’m present. I’m here. And guess what? It’s usually fine—great, even!

It’s all about practicing presence, being fully in clock time, where clarity, joy, and acceptance live. The problems of the movable, messy outside world don’t feel so overwhelming when we’re grounded in the now.

Does this take practice? Oh, absolutely. Some days I get it right, some days I don’t. But when I do, I feel alive. I’d much rather live fully awake than in zombie mode. And honestly? I’d rather surround myself with people who are also tuned into this channel—people who don’t waste their energy on gossip, criticism, or negativity. People who are kind, present, and alive.

So, here’s to all of you out there doing your best. Thank you for bringing kindness and awareness into the world.

Have an amazing week—and even better clock time!

Love & Sparkles,
Ishani

🎵 To Listen: Okay, confession: I don’t usually listen to music. Not because I’m against it (lol), but it’s just not a regular thing for me. But my baby brother (not technically a baby, he’s 36) introduced me to Parcels, and wow, I’m hooked! This one song in particular has me dancing—yes, while driving (safely, of course!). It’s on repeat and puts me in the best mood. Hope it makes you groove too!

🎥 To Watch: Speaking of Eckhart Tolle, I stumbled across this fantastic short video. It’s a simple yet deep explanation of clock time vs. psychological time, and it really helped me understand it better. Highly recommend!

🍹 To Drink: The other night, hubby and I got creative in the kitchen and made this dreamy drink. No measurements, just vibes:

• Orange juice

• Coconut water

• Coconut milk

• Lime juice

• A pinch of sea salt

We served it over ice, and oh my goodness—it tasted like a creamsicle. Highly recommend trying this one!

🧘 To Try: If you’ve ever said, “I can’t meditate,” this one’s for you! Try this super simple awareness exercise. It’s not about sitting cross-legged in silence; it’s about noticing. Trust me, you’ll enjoy it.
